CORAL SPRINGS, FL –  Police have arrested a pastor for pushing his wife and making her fall because she said she didn’t want to go to church with him, according to a police report.

Samson Numa, 46, was taken into custody during the March 15 incident at his apartment in Coral Springs, the report said. His wife had called police for help while hiding from Numa in the bathroom.

His wife told police the couple had marital troubles for years and had fought before. On this day, she told police that he had wanted her to go to church and, when she refused, he became angry and attacked her. Numa admitted to police that he grabbed and pushed his wife, the report said.

The couple’s daughter told police she was in a bathroom at the time her parents were arguing and heard what sounded like “pushing around,” the report said. When she came out, she saw Numa standing near her mother who was on the floor. The daughter told police that her mother suspected Numa of infidelity with the same woman numerous times. The daughter told police she found this difficult to understand because Numa was a pastor.

Numa was charged with a misdemeanor battery offense.

It wasn’t clear in the police report what, if any, church Numa is affiliated with as a pastor.
