PATERSON, NJ - Local non-profit Paterson Cares has launched an effort with the ambitious goal of collecting and distributing 2000 new pairs of shoes for local children in grades Kindergarten through high school as they enter the new school year in September.

Donated shoes can be dropped off at the Masonic Temple, 224 Broadway or at LaNeves, 276 Belmont Ave., Haledon. 

Shoes will be distributed Saturday, August 24, at the Masonic Temple, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
