PATERSON, NJ - The Paterson Community Health Center has been awarded two grants totaling $2,564,562 by the Department of Health and Human Services.
The PCHC has two facilities located at 32 Clinton St. and 227 Broadway near the city’s downtown area. Opened in 1979, PCHC offers primary care services to low-income Paterson residents along with oral health and mental health/substance abuse services at both permanent locations. The program also utilizes a mobile dental van which offers on-site dental services at community based organizations, schools, day care centers, churches, and public housing developments.
Enabling services of the PCHC include outreach and health education, patient navigation and transportation, and facilitated enrollment in order to enhance access to care.
"This federal grant will allow Paterson Community Health Center to continue providing invaluable healthcare services to Patersonians that need it most," said U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09), a member of the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Health.
