Paterson Community Schools Corps Offers Members Opportunity to Make a Difference While Earning Valuable Benefits

PATERSON, NJ- Providing academic support, decreasing at-risk behavior, and strengthening families and the community are just a few of the responsibilities of Americorps members. 

Launched in 1992 under the formal name of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) to "connect Americans of all ages and backgrounds with opportunities to give back to their communities and their nation," the program operates locally as the Paterson Community Schools Corps (PCSC) and is part of the large number of services the New Jersey Community Development Corporation offers the city of Paterson.

Successful applicants earn a living stipend of up to $1144 a month an education award of up to $5920 a month, and other benefits.
