PATERSON, NJ- A 53-year old Paterson man already wanted on outstanding warrants, including for credit card fraud and manufacturing and distribution of narcotics, now faces additional charges following his Friday arrest.
According to a statement by Passaic County Sheriff Richard H Berdnik, detectives from the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Squad arrived at 22 Morton Street at approximately 6:30 p.m. to executive the warrants against Shawn K. Williams.
Upon their arrival, the report states, detectives attempted to arrest Williams who resisted and began to flare his hands to avoid being handcuffed. Once he was detained Williams was found to be in possession of a clear zip-lock plastic bag in containing three small light green pills suspected to be Xanax.
In addition to the original charges Williams was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance, resisting arrest by using physical force, and hindering apprehension.
