PATERSON, NJ- A Paterson man may spend the rest of his life in prison following the Monday guilty verdict for hia role in a 2015 murder.
According to a statement by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, Charles M. Grant, 34, was found guilty on one count of First Degree Murder, one count of Second Degree Possession of a Handgun for an Unlawful Purpose, and one count of Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Handgun.
The shooting death of Isaac D. Tucker occurred in the early morning hours of February 23, 2015 in front of 296 East 16th Street. According to testimony Grant shot Tucker at close range in the face, chest, and back as the two men walked together from the Alto Rango Liquor Store located at 253 12th Avenue.
Grant is due back in court for sentencing on November 2.
