TRENTON, NJ – A Paterson resident is about to receive a nice pay day without having to do a single minute of work.
The New Jersey Lottery announced on Wednesday that a Passaic County liquor store sold a jackpot-winning ticket to Tuesday’s Jersey Cash 5.
La Sorpresa Food Market & Liquor, located on 4th Avenue, sold one of two winning tickets that matched Tuesday’s drawing - 16, 30, 34, 37 and 40 – according to Executive Director Carole Hedinger.
“We are thrilled that the winning jackpot tickets were sold at Country Farm and La Sorpresa Food Market & Liquor,” Hedinger said. “For selling these tickets, each retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000. Overnight, they have become two more ‘lucky locations’ for the very fortunate lottery winners.”
The two jackpot winners will split the $254, 350 price, while 3,102 other players who matched fewer numbers will divide $95,882.
