HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - A late summer lightning storm forced the Hillsborough Rotary Fair to close down two hours early Friday night, but not before a thundering fireworks display lit up the sky,
Thousands of people streamed out of the fairgrounds at the conclusion of the fireworks just as the rain came down, creating a massive traffic jam in the adjacent parking lot.
The six-day fair continues Saturday night, opening at 6 p.m. and closing at 11 p.m. It's also $30 wristband night which pays for unlimited rides all night.
The final day of the fair is Sunday from 2-7 p.m.
