EDISON, NJ - Assemblywoman Nancy J. Pinkin was appointed to the Council of State Government’s Eastern Regional Conference’s Health Committee by Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto (D-Hudson). The Assemblywoman will be serving as an alternate member to the committee.
The Council of State Governments (CSG) is the only organization in the United States serving all three branches of state government. CSG is a region-based forum that fosters the exchange of insights and ideas to help state officials shape public policy. The Eastern Regional Conference serves 11 states, including New Jersey, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
“I look forward to working with state leaders on some of the best practices from around the region and how they can help those living in New Jersey. I thank the Speaker for this opportunity,” said Pinkin (D-Middlesex).
Pinkin will be attending the Council’s 54th Annual Meeting and Regional Policy Forum next month in Baltimore.
A longtime health advocate, Assemblywoman Pinkin represents the 18thLegislative District which includes East Brunswick, Edison, Helmetta, Highland Park, Metuchen, South Plainfield and South River. She was first elected to the Assembly in 2013 after serving on the East Brunswick Town Council since 2005.
