Pioneers Girls Soccer Team Triumphs, 2-1, over J.P. Stevens

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - The New Providence girls' soccer team defeated J.P. Stevens, 2-1, on Thursday afternoon at Lieder Field.

Senior Casey Trezza and junior Erin Fay scored the New Providence goals. Maggie Roughley had an assist. Time in goal was split between Jen Meluso, who made five saves, and Katie Vigilante, who turned back four J.P. Stevens shots on goal. J.P. Stevens is 2-2.

The Pioneers, who are 3-3, will play their next game on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. at NPHS against Old Bridge.
