PISCATAWAY, NJ – Residents are urged to use extra caution during their commutes home on Thursday as gusty winds continue to blow around Piscataway.

Downed trees have been reported across the township, said police, some blocking area roadways including one on Beatty Street.

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory through 6:00 p.m. Thursday.

“West winds will blow at 20-30 miles per hour with gusts of 40-50 miles per hours expected,” said weather officials. “Power outages may occur. Secure outdoor objects.”
