CHATHAM, NJ – Children come dressed in their pajamas while parents come dressed for whatever they have planned that night.
On the last Friday of every month, Little Angels School House, located at 110 Main St., offers pizza and a movie for children and a stress-free night out for the parents.
“We think it’s great” said Lanie Roberts, whose 16-month-old, Penny, is enrolled in the day care program. “It’s a nice added benefit. We were very pleased to find out that this was part of the daycare program. We pretty much have free babysitting once a month and it gives us an opportunity to get a date night out of it.”
Roberts and her husband both work in New York City and have been pleased with the convenience and what their daughter has learned at the Little Angels School House.
“We don’t have to worry about picking her up on pizza night,” Roberts said. “We both work in the city, so we can get together there or go out in Chatham. Penny loves the Little Angels School House. We do drop-offs early in the morning and when I leave her she never cries. She’s having such a good time, she doesn’t care that I’m leaving. Also, she learned how to say ‘thank you’ and I know it was from the manners she’s learning from the teachers.”
Regular enrollees of the school program at Little Angels School House are invited to attend for free, but anybody is welcome. Little Angels School House offers full and half-day preschool programs.
The cost for non-enrolled students for “Pizza Night” is $60, with an additional $30 for each sibling. The price includes pizza, drinks and child care.
Drop off children up to 6 years old in their pajamas and slippers at Little Angels School House between 6:30 and 7 p.m. and pick up no later than 10 p.m.
Pizza is served between 7:15 and 7:45 and the movie is shown at 8 p.m.
Parents must reserve a spot for “Pizza and Movie Night” by filling out a form that can be found at http://www.littleangelsschoolhouse.com/
