PISCATAWAY, NJ — Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Thomas Mosier of the Piscataway Police Department announced Saturday the arrest of a Plainfield man for a non-fatal shooting.  

On January 19, Dasean Toney, 22, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with second-degree Aggravated Assault, second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and second-degree Possession of a Firearm for an Unlawful Purpose.  

On January 19, at approximately 11:31 a.m., Piscataway police officers responded to the area of Draco Road in the Starpoint Complex following a report of shots fired.  Upon their arrival, authorities observed bullet holes in the exterior of a vehicle and multiple residences. No one is reported injured and the shooting appears to be an isolated incident.

Toney is currently being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center pending a detention hearing in Superior Court.
