PLAINFIELD, NJ — An institution in Union County, the Plainfield Music Store has announced that it will be closing its doors for good. The last day of business will be Saturday, Oct. 27.
Founded in 1951 and currently owned by Plainfield local Victoria Griswold, a classically trained pianist, the store has offered a vast archive of sheet music from many publishers, and has been a favorite source for musical connoisseurs.
According to an email, all of the inventory must go, and all sheet music is 60%.
The Plainfield Music Store is located at 120 North Ave., and is open Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 908-754-3718.
