With last year's successful "It's Finally Done Fun Run" on the Route 202 Parkway raising $7,200 for the Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis Assoicaiton, Montgomery Township is bringing another 5K to the area on May 17 to celebrate its 300th anniversary and honor community veterans.
The Commemoration Day General Hancock 5K Run will be a William F. Maule Park at Windlestrae at 9 a.m. It will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, according to township Public Information Coordinator Kelsey McMeans.
The run is limited to 300 runners. Entry fee is $25 with shirt, and $15 with no shirt.

Registration begins 8 a.m. on the day of the race. The course is a wheel-measured course, taking place on a paved trail and a street, according to the registration. FInish is via time clock and results are instant. Rain or shine.
An awards ceremony will follow, with the top runner getting a one-year membership to Planet Fitness in Montgomery Township. The top male and female winner will get a gift card to Hand & Stone Massage.
Special prizes will be handed out to first, second and third place winners in six different age groups. Every runner gets a Commemoration Day goodie bag. The race will end with commendations from State Sen. Stewart Greenleaf and State Rep. Todd Stephens.
The race will begin and end at the park and follow Rose Twig Lane, Mallard Drive East, Mallard Drive West and Darter Lane.
