WEST ORANGE, NJ - On November 3 Pleasantdale School brought the Trunk or Treat back after a three year hiatus. Approximately 200 people attended this school's free event that was coordinated and sponsored by the Pleasantdale PTA. Teachers, parents, students and staff had a great time.
Over 20 cars participated by decorating their trunks and handing out candy. People were given a ticket at the beginning of the evening to give to the car that they liked best. Lou and Paula Reynolds came in first place with 33 tickets, followed by Peter and Kim Pannuci with 32 tickets. The first place winner recieved a trophy and a gift card to Fortissimos.
Other than the cars, 20 more people volunteered to run Halloween games and help the children make spooky crafts. The PTA sold apple cider, hot cocoa, popcorn and baked goods and a mad scientist table was set up for kids to experiment on.
The highlight of the evening was the music by DJ Dave Levesque who kept the tunes upbeat and served as MC for the event. The event ended with a costume parade and trophies being handed out to the most original, most adorable, and scariest costumes.
