CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — A Camden County man wanted in a Dec. 23 homicide of a hunter was arrested Tuesday in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, authorities announced.
The search for Shawn Massey, 38, of Gibbsboro, stretches back to nearly a month ago.
Joseph Bottino, 54, of Gloucester Township, was known to hunt in the Pine Hill area. After he was found dead Dec. 23, an autopsy revealed it was the result of multiple stab and incise wounds, as well as blunt force trauma.
Detectives say evidence at the crime scene linked the death to Massey, who now faces homicide charges.
Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill Mayer and Pine Hill Police Chief Christopher Winters said Massey was identified by a police officer while driving into Bensalem Township.
Massey, who was taken into custody around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, is being held in the Bucks County Correctional Facility - awaiting extradition to N.J.
