Police Break Up Fight, Investigate Burglary on Brittin Street


MADISON, NJ - Police arrested three men after breaking up a violent street altercation on Brittin Street on Monday.

According to Madison police, a Florham Park man struck a Madison man with a hammer during the altercation, which involved at least three individuals. Michael Allocca, 37,  of Florham Park, Domenico Martirano, 22, of Madison and Leonardo Martirano, 21, of Madison were all arrested on assault charges. All three men were released on their own recognizance pending a court appearance. 

Earlier on Monday, a Brittin Street residence was broken into and burglarized, even though the homeowner reported being away from the house for just 20 minutes. The glass pane on a rear door was smashed.

"The actor(s) appear to have targeted the master bedroom and removed jewelry and personal documents," the Madison police reported.

Police did not say whether they believed there was any connection between the two incidents on the same street in the same day.
