Police I.D. Second Suspect in Dec. 29 Carjacking


PATERSON, NJ - Police have identified a second suspect in the Dec. 29 carjacking case in the Riverside section that resulted in the shooting of a 22-year-old city man who has since been released from the hospital after being wounded in the back and the foot with gunshots.

Micheal Lucky, 19, of Pearl Street in Paterson has been identified as the second suspect for whom police are searching. Lucky is being charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, robbery and weapons possession. He has been known to frequent the Jefferson Street and North Main Street area on the north side of the city, according to Lt. Patrick Murray.

The incident occurred at around 8:15 p.m. Dec. 29 on the corner of 4th Avenue and E. 23rd Street.

Police have already arrested 20-year-old Rahjohn Rutherford in connection with the incident.
