MONTCLAIR, NJ - AN Irvington man was arrested on Monday afternoon in connection with a shooting that occurred in Montclair on Saturday.
At approximately 10:30 p.m., officers responded to Pine Street at Glenridge Avenue on a report of shots fired, law enforcement officials reported. They discovered that a 31-year-old Montclair man has left the scene and walked to Mountainside Hospital. They located him at the hospital with a gunshot injury to the nose.
Lt. David O'Dowd of the Montclair Police Department stated, "He is listed in stable condition."
In less than 48 hours, at approximately 3:10 p.m. on Monday, a 36-year-old Irvington man named Asher Conn was arrested in connection with this shooting, O'Dowd added in a follow-up report.
The suspect is charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose.
