Police Nab East Norriton Man Wanted in 2013 Lansdale Furniture Heist

Lansdale Police finally got their man.

After nearly 18 months on the run, Michael Walsh, 29, formerly of the 2300 block of Coles Boulevard, East Norriton, is now in police custody for his alleged role in a 2013 high-end furniture heist in Lansdale, announced Lansdale Police Sunday night. 

Last week, Lansdale Police posted information on Walsh on their Facebook page. Police said the post was viewed more than 18,000 times and had 372 shares.

Walsh, along with James Treadway, 35, of the 700 block of West Main Street, allegedly stole furniture from their Cannon Avenue employer in February 2013, police said.

Walsh was aware of the warrant issued against him, police said.

Treadway and Walsh allegedly stole nine Aeron high-end chairs and two filing cabinets and sold them on Craigslist, police said. Police allege Walsh's first name, phone number and location were in the Craigslist ads.
