Police: Shih Tzu Stolen From Unlocked Home

NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ -- Police report that on Sunday an unknown person walked into a home on Westervelt Avenue near Grandview Avenue and stole a white shih tzu. The home was not locked at the time of the theft. The owner was not able to identify a suspect, and noted that the family pet was valued at about $500.

The owner did not report the theft until Monday morning.
