MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ - Last night's storm didn't drop as much snow and ice as anticipated but it did knocked out power to some residents in Morris Township.
Jersey Central Power & Light is reporting about 1,500 customers are without power in the area of Raynor Road and Hanover Avenue. The utility company said the cause of the outage is due to tree damage and they are estimating a restoration time of 12 noon.
Customers without power are urged to report the outage here or by calling 1-888-LIGHTSS.
The Morristown Fire House located at 161 Speedwell Avenue will act as a warming center for all residents. The warming center will be open all day and evening today (Sunday Jan. 20) and Monday.
