WAYNE, NJ - The residents of Preakness Healthcare Center recently participated in Representative Mikie Sherrill’s (NJ-11) “Valentines for Veterans” program. Their colored creations will be distributed to veterans throughout the 11th Congressional District.
"This community service effort has allowed the residents of Preakness Healthcare Center an opportunity to thank our local veteran’s for their service to our great nation," said Passaic County Public Information Officer Neela Mahbuba.
As part of a district-wide effort, Sherill's team has been collecting handmade valentines that have been made by student's, seniors and residents throughout her district who want to show their appreciation to the veterans who have served our nation.
Preakness Healthcare Center, owned and operated by the County of Passaic, is a state of the art sub-acute and skilled care facility that has cared for the community since 1929.
