Primary Day Today

Tuesday, June 3rd is Primary Day in New Jersey.  Elections are being held for the 7th and 12th Congressional Districts and for the Republican Party's U.S. Senate candidate.
In the Republican U.S. Senate face-off, the candidates are Jeff Bell (Leonia), Brian Goldberg (West Orange), Richard Pezzullo (Freehold), and Murray Sabrin (Ft. Lee).  The winner will take on Democratic incumbent Cory Booker in November.
The 12th District Democratic candidates are Linda Greenstein (D-14th, Middlesex), Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-15th, Mercer) and Upendra Chivukula (D-17th, Somerset) and Andrew Zwicker, a physicist at Princeton University.  In the 7th District, incumbent Leonard Lance (R) is challenged by David Larsen.
Polls are open until 8 p.m. for Scotch Plains and Fawood residents to cast their votes.
