Principal Pesapane Receives Flash Sendoff from Southern Boulevard

CHATHAM, NJ -  Chatham Township Mayor Kevin Sullivan proclaimed June 19, 2014, as Ralph J. Pesapane Day in honor of the retiring principal of Southern Boulevard School.

The entire school formed a "Flash Mob" to sing Pesapane a farewell song.

Pesapane retires after 42 years in the School District of the Chathams, including the last 16 as the principal of Southern Boulevard School.

He began his career in Chatham in 1972 as a Reading Specialist for Lafayette School and over the course of the next 16 years was appointed Director of the Gifted Program, District Test Coordinator, and eventually Assistant Principal.

Following the merger of the Chatham Borough and Chatham Township School Districts in 1988, Pesapane first served as Principal of Lafayette School and eventually Assistant Superintendent and Principal of Milton Avenue School.
