Proclamations Awarded to Retiring Roselle Police Officers and Detectives

ROSELLE, NJ -  Mayor Jamel C. Holley and the Roselle Borough Council awarded proclamations to six retiring police officers and detectives on Wednesday evening during the monthly Borough Council meeting. Chief of Police Gerard Orlando also gave each officer a plaque honoring their years of service to the community.

The officers retiring are as follows.

Police Captain, Gary Riccardelli
Sergeant, Elmer Ertl
Police Officer, Barry Laraway
Detective Joseph Osty
Detective Colleen Scanielo
Detective, John Alvarado

“Detective Colleen Scanielo was one of the first female detectives in Roselle and has set the bar pretty high for all other women officers to follow” said Mayor Holley.

The residents congratulate these officers and thank them for their many years of service to the Borough of Roselle.
