LIVINGSTON, NJ - Whether it’s clothes that don’t fit, toys that don’t work, or something that just doesn’t quite fit the bill—The UPS Store says that many gift recipients will opt to return or exchange holiday gifts during the first week of January. Like all of the first weeks of January in the past, UPS thinks January 2014 is expected to see a considerable uptick in retail returns—so much so that UPS has dubbed Thursday, Jan. 2, “National Returns Day.”
The UPS Store said it expects to see many customers making returns on Jan. 2, and that their packing and shipping experts are ready to make the returns process as easy as possible.
As part of National Returns Day, the Livingston UPS Store, located at 184 Livingston Ave., Suite 9, is partnering with KindRunner, an online running shoe site that donates used shoes to people in need. KindRunner will be collecting used running shoes in exchange for “kindness cash” toward the purchase of new running shoes, and offering other incentives for the crowd of customers making returns.
