LIVINGSTON, NJ – On Monday, Aug. 25 at 4:00 p.m. in the Livingston High School Cafeteria, the Livingston Football Parents Association (LFPA) will be hosting their second annual LHS Season Kick-Off and Pep Rally. President of the LFPA, Adam Slavitt, explained that it is being made into a “communal event, inviting all family and friends as well as the community” to come and support the football team.
Slavitt shared that Principal Mark Stern “loved it” last year and wanted to make it all inclusive. Therefore, the LHS Cheerleaders, LHS Marching Band and the Jr. Football team were invited. The junior teams will have the chance to get acquainted with the coaches and teachers.
Slavitt also emphasized that “the whole town is invited” and “the LFPA is planning to include all fall sports in this event next year.” This event is not a fundraiser, but each attendee will be charged a meal fee to pay for their individual meal.
This fee must be paid to the LFPA no later than Aug. 19 as there will be no walk-ins at the door. Football players will eat free as they are supported by the funding of the LFPA, a program that supports the football team by: feeding the players before home football games, organizing the end of the year banquet and awards, and funding the purchase of additional equipment.
