MONTCLAIR, NJ – Students at Montclair State University attended an end-of-the year concert with Ne-Yo and Hot 97 ‘s DJ Enuff who performed to a sold-out audience on Friday night.

Ne-Yo Is an American R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer and actor. He gained fame for his songwriting abilities when he penned the 2004 hit 'Let Me Love You' for singer Mario. The notoriety that Ne-Yo gained from the single's successful release prompted Def Jam's record label executive to offer him a recording contract.  He has gone on to write songs for artists such as Rihanna, Beyonce, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Carrie Underwood and Enrique Iglesias to name a few.  He has also received several Grammy award nominations for his work among other notable recognitions.

The 2015 Montclairfest, is an annual event hosted by the Student Government Association. It is an end of the year concert that consists of mainly Hip Hop and Rock main-stream artists. Only MSU students with valid school ID are allowed to attend.

MSU students excitedly took to social media to brag about the artisit’s performance at their school. Tickets were rumored to have been sold out in 20 minutes.  There is another event scheduled for this Saturday called MGLOW with popular DJs as an end-of-year SGA event.

In the past MSU’s Montclairfest has seen performances from New Found Glory, Dip set, Four Year Strong, Fabolous, J.Cole, Wale, Tyga, and Cartel.
