SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - After trailing by as many as 17 points in the first half, the Scotch Plains-Fanwood varsity boys basketball team rallied for a 60-54 victory over Gov. Livingston Thursday night at home.
Junior guard Leo Ramos scored a career-high 24 points and helped spark the Raiders' surge in the middle two quarters, when they outscored the Highlanders, 38-19, to open up a five-point lead heading into the final quarter.
Josh Acosta and Jack Poillon scored seven points apiece for SPF, which raised its record to 7-3.
Javon Reis-Wilson led Gov. Livingston (3-7) with 19 points and John Iorio added 18 points for the Highlanders.
Scotch Plains-Fanwood completed a sweep of its Berkeley Heights rivals, having beaten GL on opening night.
