Randolph Police Officer Injured in Motor Vehicle Crash

RANDOLPH, NJ- On Dec. 11 around 5:21 p.m, Officer Sean Verbist was traveling East on Randolph Ave, at the intersection with Dover Chester Rd.  As Officer Verbist was entering the intersection of Dover Chester Rd,  his vehicle was struck by a 2011 Kia Sorento, being operated by Brian Graul 23 years old from Randolph. Graul was attempting to make a left turn onto Randolph Ave, from Dover Chester Rd.  The impact of the crash forced the patrol car completely across both lanes and into the driveway of 450 Quaker Church Rd.  

Officer Verbist was transported to Morristown Memorial Hospital.  Officer Verbist suffered from various injuries including a fractured right arm.

There were no injuries reported to anyone else involved in this incident.

The accident is still under investigation at this time.
