RANDOLPH, NJ - Looking for something to do with the kids next family game night? Are you a fan of the Master and Commander or Pirates of the Caribbean movies? Then hoist the sails and roll out the cannons because Randolph resident Chris Pinyan has created the game for you.
Clear the Decks! is a cooperative card game inspired by the ship-to-ship combat in these movies and historical events surrounding the USS Constitution and the Royal Navy of England. Players each command three cannons, but work together to try and sink an enemy ship.
Chris has been working on the game for a couple of years and is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to self-publish. For the intro video, Chris turned to local Randolph High School rising Junior, Eitan Leinwand, to produce it “I had seen Eitan’s talent on his YouTube channel, and knew that he had won awards at the high school’s film festival. He did a great job and I think it really conveys the game quickly and effectively. The intro video is the first thing a potential backer sees – a way to catch your eye and get you hooked.” said Chris. Chris has been playtesting and demonstrating Clear the Decks! across several states at conventions and game stores. His next events will be at the new game store, Mythicos Studios ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/365819997194628/ ) in Succasunna on Friday August 3rd at 7pm and at PLAY NYC ( https://www.play-nyc.com/ ), a huge gaming event in Manhattan 10am-8pm August 11-12. He hopes this will generate the rest of the backers he needs to reach his campaign goal.
So, hoist the main sail, batten down the hatches and head to Chris’s website (www.crispygamesco.com) or Kickstarter page https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1480427463/clear-the-decks?ref=user_menu to learn more about the game and help Chris achieve his dream of publishing Clear the Decks!.
