Rangers Captain Ryan Callahan Set to Appear at Legends Gallery in Chatham, Wednesday, July 24

CHATHAM, NJ - Ryan Callahan's overtime goal clinched a playoff spot for the New York Rangers three months ago and Blueshirt fans will get a chance to thank "Captain Cally" on Wednesday, July 24, when he makes an appearance at Legends Gallery.

Callahan will be signing autographs from 7 to 9 p.m. at Legends Gallery, 7 N. Passaic Ave., Chatham.

Callahan, drafted in the fourth round by the Rangers in 2004, was named the 26th captain in club history in 2011. In making the annoucement, Rangers GM Glen Sather said: "Ryan Callahan embodies all the leadership qualities we seek from our captain. He leads by example with his courage and tireless work ethic, on and off the ice, which is why he is so deserving of this honor."

In 2010, Callahan helped the United States Olympic Ice Hockey team earn a silver medal. This past season, the right winger's consistency gained him 16 goals and 15 assists for 31 points.
