August 25, 2014 at 1:00 PM

RARITAN, NJ - A Raritan resident is searching for her daughter's bicycle, which she said was stolen from her backyard Friday night.

Railroad Avenue Eva Madrigal said her 10-year-old daughter's bicycle, which her uncle gave her about three weeks ago, was removed from the yard.

"It is not the first time someone stole from our yard," she said. "We caught someone twice in our yard, and both times it was dark."

Madrigal said she filed a report with the Raritan Borough Police Department Saturday.

The bicycle has a purple frame, with "Schwinn" in white lettering. It is a woman's frame, and one of the hand brakes hangs because it is a broken. Madrigal said it has straight handlebars, and gear shifters on each side of the handlebars.

Anyone with information can call Madrigal at 609-865-9922, or Raritan Police at 908-725-6700.
