BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Duke Island Park was host to the first Flag Day celebration Saturday, with re-enactors, vendors from the area, singers and much more.

The event was hosted by the Somerville Elks, Boy Scouts, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, John Basilone Parade Committee and the Bridgewater Creative Arts Committee.

The event featured information about the evolution of the American Flag, Revolutionary War re-enactors, local singers singing American classics and much more.
