RED BANK, NJ: The Red Bank council will hold an online workshop meeting this Wednesday, August 5, 6:30pm.

The primary topic is expected be the 2020 Municipal Operating Budget.

The COVID-19 pandemic has shattered the budget which now calls for a 5.3% increase to $14.7 million, up from $13.45 million.

The Red Bank Council Finance Committee has scheduled an electronic presentation of the operating budget on Tuesday, August 4, at 6:00pm.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the meeting will be run on the ZOOM platform.

At the contentious July 22 council meeting, several residents voiced their displeasure triggering councilman Michael Ballard to say, “I think residents and taxpayers deserve a full hearing and need to be heard.  It’s late in the game and we’re being forced to make this move, and I don’t think that’s fair.”  Ballard, along with councilman Ed Zipprich are up for election this year,
