Register Now for Westfield’s Playground Camp

WESTFIELD, NJ —  Registration is open for the Westfield Recreation Department’s Summer Playground Camp for Westfield kids completing Kindergarten through eighth grade.

The program, held at Franklin, Jefferson, McKinley and Washington schools for younger children and at Tamaques Park for teens, is open to Westfield residents only.  It offers arts and crafts, multiple sports, board games, special days, playground swims and local trips.

Cost is $70 per camper. Dates are June 25 to Aug. 6. For elementary school children, times are Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and  1 p.m. to 3:45 p. m. Fridays:  9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For children completing sixth through eighth grade, times are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Due to limited space, Playground Camp is outdoors only this year. In case of inclement weather the program will be closed.

Register in person at the recreation office at 425 East Broad Street. Only checks and exact cash will be accepted. First-time registrants must bring a report card for proof of grade. For more information about the recreation department's summer offerings, click here.
