Registration Remains Open for Overlook 5K, Race Set for June 23

SUMMIT, NJ - Registration continues for the Overlook 5K, presented by The Summit Running Company, which will run through the streets of Summit June 23 starting at 7 p.m.

Runners can register online at http://www.racenj.com/, with early packet pick-up at The Summit Running Company, located at 355 Springfield Avenue, beginning June 19.  The event benefits the Summit Police Athletic League (PAL) and the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute Brain Aneurysm Fund.  
The Summit PAL is a non-profit charitable organization run by a volunteer board that is comprised of Summit residents and dedicated Summit Police Department officers.  The Summit PAL underwrites or runs numerous programs throughout the year for the benefit of the youth of Summit, including the nationally recognized D.A.R.E. program.  The goal of the Summit PAL is to promote activities that foster lifelong health, community spirit, and a feeling of goodwill and awareness between the children and police officers.

Overlook Medical Center is ranked as a leader in the treatment of stroke and neurological disorders in New Jersey, and is a regional leader in neuroscience care, offering a broad range of advanced neurological, neurosurgical, and neurodiagnostic services in a community hospital setting, anchoring a regional system of neuroscience care.
 
The registration fee is $25 if completed by June 14, $30 thereafter, and includes the following:
 
- USATF Certified / Sanctioned course
- Computerized chip timing
- Water stations on course, and at finish
- Performance T-Shirt to all pre-registered runners
- Awards for top three finishers in multiple age-group categories
