UNION, NJ - The Township of Union is joining hundreds of cities and townships across the county in the nationwide Memorial Tribute to Remember and Honor the Lives Lost to COVID-19 by illuminating Town Hall.
At 5:30 pm, Tuesday, January 19, the township buildings will be illuminated.
Union's mayor and Township Committee encourages all businesses and organizations to illuminate their buildings. Additionally, they invite all places of worship to ring their bells at 5:30 pm for five minutes.
Residents are invited to join in this memorial by lighting a candle in their window or turning on their front porch lights.
This tribute coincides with a Washington, D.C. ceremony that lights the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. It will be the first-ever lighting around the Reflecting Pool to memorialize American lives lost.
