As the November 2nd election date draws near,  Tom McDermott and Ted Bourke would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves as candidates for the 2 open seats on the Township Committee.

Combined, we have over 35 years of service to Millburn - yet we feel we can still do more.

Mayor McDermott has served on the Township Committee since 1995, serving as deputy mayor twice, and mayor twice, including his current term as mayor.  He has previously served on the Citizens Budget Advisory Committee, served as Vice Chairman of the Zoning Board, is a board member of Hometown Television, and has previously coached girls travel basketball in Millburn.

Ted Bourke has spent countless hours volunteering in Millburn.  Most notably, He has served as the Chairman of the Millburn Sports Activity Foundation which raised over $2.5 million in private donations to provide 2 new synthetic turf fields and a new track at the high school.  For 10 years, he has been active in MSH Youth Baseball - currently serving as treasurer, executive board member and manager of the 13-14 year old travel teams.

Our extensive volunteerism demonstrates our commitment and compassion for this town.  We believe that our experiences and skills also provide the leadership needed in these tough economic times.
