Republican Committee to Hold Candidates Forum on May 21

May 6, 2014 at 11:10 AM

CHATHAM, NJ - The Chatham Township Republican Committee has announced that it will be hosting a "Candidates Forum" featuring all four of the candidates for Chatham Township Committee on Wednesday, May 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Chatham Township Municipal Building. The event is free and open to the general public.

Incumbent Kathy Abbott, Peter Fico, Michael Kelly and Karen Swartz are all running for two seats available on the Chatham Township Committee in November. Abbott is running for reelection and Bailey Brower, Jr., has decided not to run again.

Since the Republicans will be running unopposed on the November ballot, the June 3 Republican primary will be the real election.

In their only scheduled joint appearance before the election as of this writing, the four candidates will each offer a brief presentation and take questions from the public.
