Resident Robbed at Knifepoint in Westfield

September 12, 2013 10:39 a.m.

Mr. Jesse T. Natale, 24, of W. North Avenue in Westfield was arrested while at Westfield Municipal Court on the strength of seven warrants issued by the Newark, Sayreville, Union and Hillside Municipal Courts ($12, 535.00 total bail). Mr. Natale was processed and released after posting bail.

Ms. Cristina Polizzano, 24, of North Plainfield was arrested while at Westfield Municipal Court on the strength of one outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Newark Municipal Court ($5,000.00 bail). Ms. Polizzano was processed and released after posting bail.

September 12, 2013 3:00 p.m.

A resident of Westfield reports being robbed at knifepoint while walking in the 700 block of Rahway Avenue at approximately 3:00 p.m. on this date. The suspect, described as a white male, average build, 5’ 10” in height, wearing a red bandana over his face and dressed in a dark green hooded sweatshirt with neon yellow graphics, dark blue jeans and athletic sneakers, approached the victim and demanded the victim turn over his wallet while brandishing a knife. Suspect then ran northbound on Rahway Avenue. There was no cash or any other items of value in the wallet. A subsequent search of the area for the suspect was negative.

Donald Lee, 46, of East Orange was arrested on an outstanding Westfield Municipal Court warrant ($250.00). Mr. Lee was processed and released after posting full bail.

September 14, 2013 3:06 a.m.

Tyler Mohr, 23, of Oxford was arrested for D.W.I. and refusal to submit to Alcotester. Mohr was stopped as the result of a “911” call regarding an erratic driver.

September 14, 2013 11:59 a.m.

Erin Hynes, 30, of Westfield was arrested as the result of a suspicious person call for an outstanding Union County Sherriff’s Child Support Warrant. Bail was set at $10, 025.00, no 10% and she was unable to post.

September 16, 2013 7:34 a.m.

Michael Montemurro, 34, of Cranford was arrested as the result of a motor vehicle stop for a $500.00 Brielle Municipal Traffic Warrant. Bail was posted and court date TBA.

September 16, 2013 11:14 a.m.

A resident of the 400 block of Quantuck Lane in Westfield reported an act of fraud in which $93,000 was wired in two unauthorized transactions. No suspect(s) have been identified to date.

September 16, 2013 9:10 p.m.

Judit Aveiro, 30, of Ocean Grove was arrested on an outstanding Holmdel Municipal Court warrant pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Rahway Avenue and Norwood Drive. Aveiro was transported to Westfield Police Headquarters, processed and released after posting $240.00 cash bail.

September 17, 2013 2:42 p.m.

A resident of the 700 block of Kimball Avenue reports being the victim of a fraud. Victim states that unknown actors committed a fraud and scammed the victim out of $299.90. 

September 18, 2013 1:39 a.m.

Jahman McKenzie, 27, of Bronx, NY was arrested for possession of marijuana under 50 grams pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of South Avenue near Windsor Avenue. McKenzie was transported to Westfield Police Headquarters where he was processed and released with a summons.
