Borough Council candidates Len Resto and Frank Truilo announced today that their campaign will officially kick-off tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8th at 5 p.m. The campaign will kick off by Len and Frank meeting at the Gazebo at Reasoner Park with Len doing his usual walk and Frank doing his usual bike ride. They will be walking and biking the entire Borough before the campaign is over.
Due to COVID-19, they will not be knocking on individual doors; but will engage with any residents who happen to be outside their home while they’re walking or biking by. Len stated “I am looking forward to walking every street in the Borough which I’ve done multiple times”. Frank stated “Likewise, I look forward to riding the streets of the Borough and meeting as many residents as possible during these unprecedented times of campaigning while in a pandemic”.
Chatham Borough Democratic Committee Chair, Pat Soteropoulos stated “I couldn’t be prouder to have these two outstanding candidates running for Council. I know they will serve the Borough well. I look forward to being there for them tomorrow.”
Frank Truilo is a 24-year Borough resident and architect who co-chairs the Borough’s Historic Preservation Commission. As a Council member, his goal is to ensure that development in town is consistent with Chatham’s unique village feel, while promoting continued improvement on Main Street. Len Resto has served on the Borough Council for 9 years and is a 25 year Borough resident, as well. Len focuses on helping seniors, protecting Chatham’s environment, and most recently addressing the needs of Chatham residents struggling during the COVID crisis.
The candidates look forward to meeting our residents during their tours of the Borough.
