Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City is joining the American Gaming Association (AGA), the National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG) and casinos and gaming companies nationwide to participate in the 16th Annual Responsible Gaming Education Week (RGEW), taking place August 5th through August 9th, 2013. This year’s RGEW theme is “How Do You Say Responsible Gaming?”
With employees and patrons from around the world, Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City is proud of its diversity and is using RGEW 2013 to promote the message that no matter what language gaming employees and customers speak it incorporated the message of responsible gaming. Additionally, in May the Caesars Foundation approved a $300,000 gift to the NCRG, the first of potentially five annual gifts in such amount, to help support the NCRG’s mission to fund research that helps increase understanding of pathological gambling, and to find effective methods of prevention and treatment for the disorder.
“We at Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City are dedicated to promoting responsible play in our casinos and celebrating our diversity—and this year’s Responsible Gaming Education Week is an opportunity do both,” said Kevin Ortzman, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Caesars, Bally’s, and Showboat Atlantic City.
In conjunction with RGEW, the AGA and the NCRG are releasing new responsible gaming videos and making their most popular responsible gaming brochures available for the first time in French, Korean, traditional Chinese and Vietnamese—in addition to English and Spanish. The AGA’s “What Are the Odds?” video and the NCRG’s “What is a Gambling Disorder?” video can be viewed atwww.americangaming.org and www.ncrg.org.
