EDISON, NJ -  Rick Stromoski, a 1977 Edison H.S. Alumni and award winning cartoonist will do a power point presentation illustrating his career from his roots in Edison to present day providing lots of laughs and some drawings as well.  This all takes place at the North Edison Library, 777 Grove Avenue, on Wednesday, December 3rd at 7 p.m.

Mr. Stromoski’s humorous illustration work has appeared in national magazines, children’s and humor books, newspapers, licensed products, national advertising and network television.  He was inducted into the Edison High School Hall of Honor in 1999.

Rick’s several hundred greeting card designs have become best-sellers for such companies as Recycled Paper Greetings, Paramount Cards, Renaissance Greetings, Marcel Schurman, Marian Heath and West Graphics.  Receiving nominations for the prestigious Greeting Card Industry’s Louie Award for outstanding greeting card design nine times, he has won on four occasions.  He has been nominated for his illustration work in magazines, children’s books, advertising and children’s publishing by the National Cartoonists Society 12 times and was awarded the Reuben division award for best greeting cards in 1995 and 1998, and for magazine gag cartoons in 1999.

After his presentation, Mr. Stromoski will do a book signing to raise money to go towards the Edison High School art scholarship.
