Ridge Marching Band 2014 Season in Full Swing

August 28, 2014 at 10:25 PM

Aug.28, 2014- The Ridge Marching band 2014 season officially began this week, (even though there were several sectionals throughout the summer.)
“Despite the long days, hot weather and sunburns, I think that all members have been having a good time learning the show music and drill and getting to know one another.  Mr. (Daniel) Zugale told me last night that he has never seen a group of kids learn as much of the show in so short a time.  I must tell you, he looked very pleased,” said Jen Kluger, a 8 year marching band parent & a 6 year President of the Ridge HS Band Association, an active parent organization that supports the Ridge Marching Band.
This evening the Parents of the 88 members of this year’s band came together for the annual Meet & Greet and to watch a preview performance of the 2014 show:  "Playing with Fire".
“I think the kids did great, this band camp we learned the entire show, the guard has like three numbers almost done, kids are learning great, there doing what we’re asking, It’s fantastic!” added George Mattis head of color guard instruction.
2014 season features performances at various competitions, including its own annual Marching Band Competition on October 25, 2014 in Basking Ridge featuring over 16 bands.
“The Band is a true ambassador of the Ridge High School and looks forward to seeing you at one of the football games or competition events.” – excerpt from ‘About us’ at www.ridgemarchingband.com
