Right at Home in Chatham Brings Library of Congress to its Clients

April 3, 2014 at 1:05 AM

Right at Home, In-Home Care & Assistance is dedicated to providing excellent senior home care and a rich quality of life experience to those they serve. As part of their commitment to their clients, Right at Home offers a gem of a no-cost, home-delivered, reading service from the U.S. Library of Congress (LOC).

This LOC program is managed by the New Jersey State Library Talking Book & Braille Center (TBBC). “When I saw the program that the LOC offers, I jumped at the opportunity to become involved,” said Jackie Major, Director of Operations for Right at Home, “Offering our clients these services will greatly help our mission to improve the quality of life for those we serve.”

Right at Home has been trained by TBBC to reach out to eligible Morris and Union County residents. Those eligible include adults who have difficulty reading a book or holding a book in their hands because of a physical impairment, a reading disability or vision impairment. “I believe this service will help lessen feelings of isolation, and give some independence back to some of the people we work with in our community,” Major said.
