Riley Third and Fourth Graders Play for School Board

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - Third- and fourth-grade students from Riley School performed at Wednesday night's school-board meeting and shared what they are learning in music class with the board at the meeting's start.

The students played two music selections on their recorders, one called "Rigadoon" and the other called "Branle de Champaigne."   According to their instructor, Tobie Baldwin, the students learned the selections in class while learning to play the recorder.

The third-grade students participating were Logan Betyeman, Denise Bui, Jane Chang, Nelson Whalen, Robert Currao, Francis Flannery, Nicole Hummel, Sophia Lin, Sara McNelly, Rashaan Taylor, and Nader Zahran.  The fourth-grade students were Tyler Balent, Rebecca Hollo, Olivia Lippel, Debora Lopez, Alysa Rivera, Emily Wong, Sofia Yuill, Amanda Senatore, and Dohyun Park.
