Scotch Plains, NJ -- The Godfather’s Daughter, Rita Gigante, will appear at Scotch Plains Public Library on Thursday, August 7 at 7 p.m.

Rita Gigante is an inspirational speaker, writer and expert on healing and the power of forgiveness. She shares her personal journey to make peace with her family after learning her father was notorious crime boss Vincent “the Chin” Gigante, head of all five New York crime families.

Join Rita for an evening where she will share her emotional and spiritual journey growing up on the tumultuous fringes of the underworld. Her struggles with deception and honesty, violence and love, and sickness and healing finally lead Rita up to a world of light and a life where she can finally accept and bravely live her own truth.

The public is invited to the Scotch Plains Public Library on Thursday, August 7 at 7:00 pm, to meet Rita and hear her read from The Godfather’s Daughter: An Unlikely Story of Love, Healing and Redemption. The library will have copies of the book available for sale and signing.
